LEAD Network webinar

Trends & innovations in logistics – getting ready for tomorrow

Robots, flying taxis, self-driving cars – that sounds like science fiction, but it is becoming our reality. Fifteen years ago, most of the technologies we take for granted today did not exist. The pace of development is incredibly fast and is accelerating.

So what trends and innovations do we need to prepare? In this first webinar in 2019 for the LEAD Supply Chain Chapter Daniela Baudisch talked through some of the effects technological innovations are having on the logistics sector and gave an insight into how DB Schenker is working to shape the future of the industry.

With attendees from 17 countries across 24 different companies, the webinar reached a wide audience of Supply Chain professionals making the Q&A a lively session. Discussions ranged from questions on how the cost of hyperloop compares to other transport modes; whether robots from Atlas are already in use in warehouses; how many automated trucks are on the roads and 3D printing projects.

Daniela has been working as Global Innovation Manager for DB Schenker since 2015. In her role, she facilitates the process for the development of new business models for the company as well as customer innovation workshops and internal innovation training. Please feel free to contact Daniela, if you are interested in knowing more about these technologies.

The next webinar will take place on March 8th, 13:00 – 14:00 hrs. SAVE THE DATE to exchange with Gabriele Riedmann de Trinidad, Platform 3L, about “Process efficiency along your Supply Chain”.
