I’m Clare Walker, Category Group Director at RB and the new Chair of the LEAD Network UK Chapter. LEAD network has established itself as an organisation that can make a positive difference in transforming diversity and inclusion in organisations, which totally connects with RB’s company beliefs and those I hold personally. We are empowered to continue the momentum of change by working together, continuing to grow LEAD in the UK, and being proud of what we achieve.

Retailer Services Director, Nielsen

“I am delighted to be taking on the UK Chair of Retailer Engagement sub committee role within the LEAD network.
The focus that LEAD has on championing diversity and inclusion within organisations is inspirational and I’m keen to be part of the momentum to drive towards a working environment where diversity and inclusion is promoted from being a project or movement to being part of the workplace fabric. These values are completely aligned with Nielsen and I’m looking forward to the reciprocal learnings and the benefits I can bring to both Nielsen and LEAD.”

Esra Kendir

Global R&D Director, Unilever

Diversity and inclusion in all forms are not only the core values of the company I work for, but also are topics that are very close to my heart and purpose. I am just doing my tiny part in the big journey by flagging any expression or demonstration of bias without fear, by being proud to say I am raising a feminist boy, by listening and learning from other’s experiences, by reading, writing and sharing my voice freely. I am very excited to be joining LEAD Network today as I know I will be working with people sharing the same passion and values to achieve the same goals for society. I am looking forward to working with you all and sharing our experiences.”

Paul Marrs
Paul Marrs

Senior R&D Manager, RB

“I am incredibly excited to be joining the UK Chapter Committee. I have a huge passion for people development and live by my purpose to “remove all limits” I genuinely believe you can do anything you put your mind to sometimes you just need to be shown the way. The LEAD agenda fits perfectly with this and allows me to give something back to an industry where I have been mentored and developed by many inspirational female leaders, yet I feel there is still huge under-representation at a senior level.”

“I am delighted and honoured to be part of the LEAD Network UK Chapter. Driving the diversity agenda in the Consumer Products and Retail industry allows me to combine two very big passions of mine. I love working in this industry and have the pleasure to meet many talented female professionals; I also strive to ‘give back’ the lessons I have learned in more than 20 years of my professional career by coaching and advising female colleagues and clients to achieve their potential. I am looking forward to grow LEAD Network in the UK and beyond.”

Frances Roberts
Frances Roberts

Product Supply Manager, Fresh Produce, Waitrose & Partners

“I am hugely passionate about the LEAD mission as I believe it is really important for women in our industry to achieve their potential, both for themselves and the organisations we work in. Since becoming a member last year I have had opportunities to hear from and meet some fantastic role models which has encouraged me to keep developing my career. My involvement so far has motivated me to become more involved and join the Education sub-committee of the UK Chapter. I think this will be a great opportunity to work alongside other members of LEAD to further the mission of the Network, and I am really looking forward to getting started!”
