Murat Yesildere, Managing Partner at the consulting firm Egon Zehnder, was the guest at the LEAD Network Turkey Chapter meeting on February 7th. He spoke about gender equality, leadership and unconscious bias, and increasing the number of female Board Members in publicly traded companies.
Aysun Zaman, President of Lead Network Turkey, said in the opening of meeting: “Research shows that discrimination in employment is the most important obstacle for economical development. Providing diversity in decision making processes will contribute directly to companies and economical development. At LEAD Network, we are working hard to encourage more female managers to choose the retail sector. We are so proud to see that LEAD Network brings diversity and inclusion to the agenda and has accelerated the retail sector. We are also happy to be part of this movement”.
Economist Murat Sagman, who was the first guest of this meeting series, gave pertiment information about economic parameters and Q4’s market position.
Migros Ticaret AS Marketing Director, Aysun Zaman, was selected to be the President of LEAD Network Turkey in May, 2019. LEAD Network has been an active organization in Turkey since the last four years.
At the end of the first meeting, we invited members from all over the world to the next LEAD Network annual event in Istanbul in October 2020.

23 October: Anitkabir Trip
On 2nd November, we are going to visit Anitkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk – leader of the revolution, the War of Independence and the first President of the Republic of Turkey.
