LEAD Mentoring Dinner

On March 26, the LEAD Switzerland Chapter hosted their first mentoring event in Zurich.

Thirty mentors and mentees came together to kick-off their mentorship over a dinner at Restaurant Gerold Chuchi. The mentors and mentees applied upfront for the event and were then matched based on their interests, experience and goals.

The energy of participants was very high, mentors and mentees started their conversations right away, even before the official introductory part.

Caroline Basyn, the chair of the LEAD Switzerland chapter introduced the LEAD network. She presented the chapter’s three-year strategy and the activity plan for 2019.

Then the official mentoring talks started for one and a half hours over dinner. All participants received a discussion guide, which helped them set the framework for the dialogue. The mentorship pairs were so highly engaged in discussions that it was even difficult to get them to the last part of the event – the networking at the bar.

As we had more applicants than seats for the event, we will organize another event in Zurich in autumn 2019.
