Future Development Director, Innocent Drinks
Sam always fancied being a doctor but somewhere along the way, ended up being seduced by the exciting world of food technology and biochemistry.
Whilst studying Food Science at The University of Surrey, Sam spent her industrial placement year working as a food technologist at M&S. Here she discovered her first food love – fruit.
After leaving university, Sam continued to work for M&S, travelling to all sorts of far flung places across the globe, sourcing the very finest fruit and salads for them.
She then spent 7 years in the USA heading up the Technology & Product Development team for them at Kings Supermarkets and running her own business.
Having fully enjoyed the bright lights of Manhattan, a chance call from an old colleague introduced her to innocent and she’s been growing the business there ever since.
As a Board Director at innocent, Sam has been managing the global supply chain of innocent until recently and is now accountable for Future Development & everything in the bottle…
From coaching and developing her team and suppliers alike to buying fruit, developing new recipes and working on exciting leading edge processes, people (and fruit) are at the heart of what Sam does every day.
When not heading up the Future Development, you’re most likely to find Sam riding horses and mountain bikes, swimming or partaking in her favourite sort of sourcing – wining and dining in new haunts.
